Product Usage Guidelines
Below is the product usage guidelines (terms) that you agree to when you purchase and use any product developed by SF Tech Group or one of it's brands.
These guidelines are heavily enforced, and global blacklists and product restrictions will be put in place for anyone breaching anything on this page.
When do these terms apply?
Everything listed in this document automatically applies when you purchase a product on the Serpent web store from SF Tech Group or one of it's brands (such as Edge Technologies). These terms last permenately and also extend to your usage of the products in your Roblox games.
Ability
By purchasing a product on Serpent, you are confirming to us that you (and the other developers in your game) have strong knowledge on the functionality of Roblox Studio, as well as the Lua programming language. At the bare minimum, all customers must be able to:
- Navigate core Roblox Studio functionality
- Correctly use the "Properties" tab
- Format a module script correctly
- Read and comprehend documentation
Our support team reserve the right to refuse support if we have reasonable believe the customer does not meet all of the criteria listed above.
Intellectual Property (IP)
The IP of all of the products, logos, names and slogans on the Serpent web store is solely owned by, or exclusively licenced to, SF Tech Group. Customers do not have the right to claim ownership of anythting provided on the Serpent web store.
Product Branding
As stated above, all branding on SF Tech Group products is owned by us. You are not permitted to remove, modify or obscure the branding on any of our products unless with the written permission from an authenticated SF Tech Group representitive.
Distribution of Product Files
You are not permitted to sell, give away or in any way share the product files which can be downloaded from the Serpent web store. The digital licence which is granted upon purchase is only applicable to the purchaser (unless transfered via the Serpent licence transfer feature). Whilst we do permit the use of our products on collaberative games with other users who do not own a licence, the game owner must be a valid licence holder and take reasonable security steps to ensure the product is not re-distributed.
Commercial Activities
We do allow community installation services of our products, provided the person receiving the installation is a valid licence holder. However, these installations must be provided free of charge and not include any additional perks or advances. For example, an installation is breaching these terms if the installer receives a permanent developer role for the user as a result of the install.
Small Modifications
We do allow small modifications of our products. These modifications are limited to: changing the colour of the product, changing the size of the products, adding detail to the product and modifying the settings file of the product. Any other modifications are not allowed. Modifications to the encrypted engine of the product is considered piracy.
Product Piracy
Under no circumstances should you attempt to breach the licence system installed within our products, or even attempt to modify/crack the obscured engine script(s) of the product. All of our products are fitted with a sophisticated tamper protection system, which will trigger upon attempted piracy of our products.
